Prior to co-founding Ikhlas, Nazir led CIMB as Group CEO (1999 - 2014) and Chairman (2014 - 2018), transforming it into ASEAN's fifth largest universal bank and a global leader in Islamic finance. He served on the EPF Investment Panel and the boards of Khazanah Nasional and Bank Pembangunan Malaysia. Nazir has received prestigious international awards as a banker and corporate leader, and is a passionate advocate of ASEAN, having founded the ASEAN Business Club. He is Chairman of ASEAN-BAC Malaysia and holds a BSc from Bristol University and an MPhil from Cambridge University.

Prior to co-founding Ikhlas, Kenny was a senior investment professional at RRJ Capital, one of Asia's largest private equity funds. He spent 22 years at CIMB Group, including as Group CFO and CEO of Strategy & Investments, leading its multi-country M&A strategy and 7 bank acquisitions in 5 years. As Head of Investments, he built a strong portfolio of strategic investments for CIMB and raised more than US$300 million for CIMB's private equity division. Kenny is a Director of CDL Hospitality Trusts and holds an MSc in Finance from Lancaster University Management School.

Prior to co-founding Ikhlas, Gita was Indonesia’s Minister of Trade (2011 - 2014) and Chairman of Indonesia’s Investment Coordinating Board (2009 - 2011). He is Chairman of Ancora Group and previously held senior roles at JPMorgan Indonesia and Goldman Sachs. Gita sits on the advisory boards of Axiata Group, Traveloka and Alpha JWC Ventures, and holds degrees from the University of Texas, Baylor University and Harvard University’s Kennedy School.

Prior to co-founding Ikhlas, Cesar was the Philippines' Secretary of Finance (2005, 2010 - 2016) and Chair of the Economic Development Cluster, during which the country received its first investment-grade ratings. He also served as Governor for the Philippines at the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank, and as Alternate Governor at the IMF. He currently serves as Independent Director of Ayala Corporation, AIA Group, Bank of the Philippine Islands and Jollibee Foods Corporation, among others. Cesar was previously Chairman of SGV & Co. and holds a BSc from De La Salle University and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School.

Tony has an extensive career in investment banking and workforce development, and has served as an independent director of Ikhlas Capital since 2018. He is currently Senior Vice President (APMEA) at GP Strategies Corporation, having previously held senior leadership roles at Temasek Management Services Academy and Thomson Reuters, alongside a decade in investment banking with Carr Indosuez and ABN AMRO. He holds a law degree from Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London.

Ek Ming has over 19 years of private equity, investment banking and corporate finance experience across Asia, the US and Europe. Prior to joining Ikhlas, he was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs’ investment banking division and co-founder of The Asia Investor, having previously worked at Deutsche Bank. Ek Ming holds a BEng (First Class Honours) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University College London.

Kah Wye has over 17 years of finance, operations, treasury, compliance and tax experience specializing in private equity. Prior to Ikhlas Capital, he was with KV Asia Capital and previously held roles in strategy and investment at CIMB Group and external audit at Crowe Malaysia. He is a fellow of ACCA and holds a BSc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University.
